A CASED PAIR OF 80-BORE PERCUSSION TURN-OVER POCKET PISTOLS BY COLLINS OF LONDON CIRCA 1840, no visible serial numbers,
with round turn-off 1 5/8in. barrels, false rifling at the muzzles and engraved bands, engraved breech-blocks with London proofs, acanthus scroll engraved signed boxlock actions with radiused edges (light cleaning, some shallow pitting), central dolphin headed hammers and concealed folding automatic triggers, sliding safes to the top-tangs and finely chequered walnut bag-shaped butts with oval escutcheons to the wrists, complete with their maker's mahogany storage case relined and compartmented in green baize and complete with a probably associated mould with barrel-key combined, an oil bottle, turn-screw and bag-shaped flask, the original parchment 'Collins' trade-label to inside of lid
